High Court’s latest statement On Online Piracy


In the times once filmmakers and on-line content suppliers across the country ar fighting a brave battle against on-line piracy that is inflicting thousands of crores of losses annually, the city High Court’s latest statement can come upon as an enormous shocker.

Recently, the manufacturers of the movie industry action film, Dishoom, stirred the city court against the web piracy sites that ar illicitly streaming their film. In its response, the city court same that “mere viewing of pirated films on-line can not be thought of Associate in Nursing offence underneath the Copyright Act”.
